MANWELL CIO is a registered charity based in Liverpool, England (charity number 1179644). We run football and health support sessions for men across the Liverpool City Region.

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the MANWELL app.

We collect and process the following personal data:

  • Name and contact details – provided when you create an account (e.g. name, email address, phone number)
  • Membership information – your membership status, start date, and any relevant membership tier
  • Session booking data – which sessions you have booked or attended
  • Health data (weight) – your weight, recorded by MANWELL staff at our events and logged to your account

Weight is classified as health data under UK data protection law and is given additional protections (see Section 4).

4. Health Data (Weight)

Your weight data is special category data under UK GDPR. We will only record and process it with your explicit consent, which you will be asked to give when you register with the app.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent will not affect your ability to use the membership or booking features of the app.

Your weight data is only accessible to:

  • You (via your account)
  • Authorised MANWELL staff involved in delivering your programme

We do not share individual weight data with any third parties.


5. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers – third-party platforms that help us run the app (e.g. hosting, database services), who are bound by data processing agreements
  • Legal obligations – if required by law or a regulatory authority
  • Anonymous reporting – aggregated, anonymised data (e.g. total kg lost across all members) may be used in funding applications or public reports

6. How Long We Keep Your Data
